Students & Parents of Students in Grades 9, 10 & 11:
The UJA Federation of Hamilton, through the Asper Foundation Human Rights and Holocaust Studies Program is thrilled to offer the following outstanding opportunity!
Up to 70 students ages 14-17 from Hamilton-Wentworth will join other students from across Canada to participate in the program. The highlight of the trip will be a visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C, May 5 - 8, 2013.The four day trip will include: transportation to Washington, D.C., all meals, accommodation, visits to other sites of importance in Washington and all admissions.
Prior to the trip to Washington, students attend a series of 7 preparatory sessions on various aspects of Human Rights and the Holocaust. There is also one information session prior to the trip for parents and students. Other components of the program include a Community Service Project and attendance at the Graduation Ceremony following the trip.
The deadline for applications is Nov. 30, 2012. Please forward essay, application including participant name, address, phone number, email, grade level, and date of birth to:

Since additional and supporting funding will be provided by the UJA Federation and community donors through the UJA Federation’s Legacy Endowment Fund, applications will only be accepted from families who have made a commitment to the 2013 Campaign and paid their commitment to prior campaigns.
Please note that while the committee will evaluate all submissions, no student is guaranteed a place by virtue of that submission.
