Award-winning actor, director, and social justice advocate, Anthony Sherwood has had a celebrated four-decade career in film, television, and theatre. A seventh-generation Black Canadian from Halifax, he has worked with icons like Sidney Poitier and Martin Sheen and directed acclaimed documentaries highlighting African-Canadian history. Sherwood is also a dedicated activist, using storytelling to champion diversity, equity, and human rights in Canada and beyond.
