We Stand With Israel Emergency Campaign

Be in the moment. Create the moment. Rise to the moment.

Hamilton Jewish Federation provides support in virtually every type of Jewish moment- in times of crisis and in times of calm- we are building community and changing lives.

We are there the moment a child enters Jewish pre-school and the moment they learn their first Hebrew song. We are there, on a high school campus, the moment a young person uses their voice to advocate against spreading antisemitism. And we are there the moment a Holocaust survivor no longer feels alone.

It is the annual contributions of our community members that enable us to be there supporting Jewish life in countless moments. Your support is vital. Without it, Hamilton Jewish Federation could not continue to be there, day in and day out, ensuring moments that are not only life-changing but life-saving.

Here at home, in Israel, and around the world, we’re providing food, shelter, and medical care to those who otherwise would go without. We are there for refugees forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, or natural disaster. We are there in these moments, providing them with basic human essentials and a safe haven. We are there helping thousands of Jews to get safely to Israel.

Your support is vital- it enables us to continue building, strengthening, and protecting Jewish communities. With your gift to Hamilton Jewish Federation, you help create lasting moments for new generations and help us tackle the issues facing our 21st century Jewish world. In this and every moment.

It's moments like this made possible by Federation & you.

Margaret's Legacy

Margaret's Legacy was established to provide quality Holocaust education that breeds tolerance, inspires hope, and nurtures healthy dialogue by using the micro-history of Margaret and Arthur Weisz as a springboard.

We are proud to announce the opening of the Margaret's Legacy Holocaust Learning Centre in Spring 2024. The centre will host the recently donated “Harriet Smiley Memorial Holocaust Collection" which will belong to the permanent exhibit. Thanks to the partnership with the Yad Vashem International School of Holocaust Education Studies, we will have the opportunity to hold temporary exhibits and a new curriculum to further enhance the experiences of our visitors.

The centre will serve as a hub for students, teachers, and the general public to receive Holocaust education and teacher training. This centre will bring to life the dreams and aspirations of Margaret's Legacy and further strengthen our commitment to education and remembrance.

With a strong dedication to research and education, Margaret's Legacy continues to expland its resources and reach people in profound ways.
